WHY IS THIS PROJECT IMPORTANT TO ME
I was instantly drawn to Ann’s energy when I first met her. When I heard of her son Joe’s suicide, my heart truly broke for her. As a mother, as a woman, as a sister, as a friend… How could I NOT be involved? Being in Ann’s presence during this intense creative journey is nothing less than magical. The raw emotions are often palpable as the Universe proclaims to her, “No, bigger.” Ann is brave enough to listen. The world needs more kindness and caring, and Ann embodies that as an Artist and Agent of Change. Sharing Ann’s message of love and human connection through education… Who wouldn’t want to be a part of that? Yeah, Ann. Count me in! <3
BIO
A jack of all trades and a master of none, Roxie’s almost child-like curiosity in so many things has led her through an interesting array of jobbies (jobs and/or hobbies) throughout her life.
A Paralegal by trade, Roxanne’s resume has not only kept her challenged and busy, but also allowed her the opportunity to explore many interests while keeping her family first.
Roxie’s creative background spans a lifetime through many mediums and includes, but is not limited to, wearing every imaginable hat on and off stage within local community theater troupes, as well as singing Bass with and co-writing musical plays for the all women’s barbershop chorus HARMONY ON THE SOUND (formerly known as The Yankee Maids).
Shortly after moving from the east coast, Roxanne discovered the local film community here in Arizona through her interest in screenwriting, and she even found herself in front of the camera on a few local short films.
Despite her unbridled creative imagination (which carries its own chaotic energy), Roxie is also quite the dedicated multi-tasker who thrives in bringing order to the chaos of projects, especially those in their infancy. She has served as a dedicated volunteer for a variety of local nonprofit organizations over the years.
While Roxie is new to working behind the scenes on the making of a film, she is humbled and excited to work on such a heartfelt and important project with her friend Ann and her team of incredibly talented people as well.
